For Patrick Ngigi, the call to help those in need has always been clear—it’s not a matter of if he will lend a hand, but rather who requires his assistance. In 1997, Patrick and his wife, Josephine, witnessed a troubling reality: young girls in Kenya faced the threat of early marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM), robbing them of their childhood and future prospects. Motivated by compassion and a desire for change, they founded Mission with a Vision, a sanctuary dedicated to rescuing these vulnerable girls and providing them with education, safety, and hope.

Today, Mission with a Vision stands as a testament to their unwavering commitment. With more than 60 girls under Patrick’s care, the organization has become a lifeline for those seeking refuge from the harsh realities of their circumstances. At Ewangan High School, a tangible impact is seen through the enrollment of 14 girls in 10th grade and 16 girls in 9th grade—all hailing from the rescue center.
